Usually not. Dry hire (machine only) and wet hire (machine with an operator) are priced differently, and the operator is normally a separate daily line item agreed with the owner. If you hire dry, you are responsible for providing an operator licensed to run that class of machine in Saudi Arabia.

How much does transport to site add?

Transport is priced on road distance from the machine's yard to your site, the machine's weight class, and whether an oversize-load permit or escort is required. It is charged both ways in most quotes. Our transport cost estimator gives you an indicative figure before you request a quote.

Why is a monthly rate so much cheaper per day?

Because the fixed costs of a rental — mobilization, paperwork, and the idle time between jobs — are spread across more working days. Owners also value the utilization certainty, so a committed month typically prices well below thirty separate days. If your programme runs longer than about three weeks, ask for the monthly rate.

Fuel is normally the hirer's cost and is not included in the day rate. Consumption depends on the machine and duty cycle — a 20 t excavator working a full shift will typically burn substantially more than the same machine on intermittent work. Agree in writing whether the machine arrives full and must be returned full.

What documents should I expect with the machine?

In Saudi Arabia, plant on site is generally expected to have valid third-party inspection and maintenance records, and operators are expected to hold a licence for the equipment class.
